NOTIFICATION NO. 53 (RE-06)/2004-2009

NEW DELHI, DATED THE 9TH MARCH, 2007

S.O.(E) – In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 (as amended from time to time), the Central Government hereby substitutes the Notification No.17(RE-2006)/2004-2009 dated 03.07.2006 and No.19(RE-2006)/2004-2009 dated 04.07.2006 respectively by the following:

(i) “The period of validity of prohibition on exports of Pulses (except kabuli chana) shall be extended up to 31.03.2008.”

(ii) “The transitional arrangements under Para 1.5 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, as amended from time to time, shall not be applicable for export of Pulses.”

The above (i) and (ii) shall be inserted in paragraph 3 of Notification No.15(RE-2006)/2004-2009 dated 27.06.2006.
