Notification No. 117/2006-Customs

G.S.R 760 (E), – In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table below shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table, namely :-

| 1. | 53/2003-Customs,dated the 1st April, 2003 (G.S.R. 277 (E), dated the 1st April, 2003). | In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the existing clause (b), the following shall be substituted, namely :-
“(b) from the whole of the additional duty leviable thereon under section 3 of the said Customs Tariff Act ; and”. |
| 2. | 54/2003- Customs, dated the 1st April, 2003 (G.S.R. 278 (E), dated the 1st April, 2003). | In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the existing clause (b), the following shall be substituted, namely :-

Note (1) The principal notification No.53/2003-Customs, dated the 1st April, 2003 was published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-Section (i) Extraordinary vide GSR 277(E), dated the 1st April, 2003, and was subsequently amended as follows :
(a) Notification No. 84/2003-Customs, dated the 27th May, 2003 vide GSR 437(E) dated, the 27th May, 2003;
(b) 63/2004-Customs, dated the 14th May, 2004 vide GSR 314(E) dated, the 14th May, 2004;

(2). The Principal notification No.54/2003-Customs, dated the 1st April, 2003 was publoished in the Gazette of Indi, Part II, Section 3, Sub-Section (1) Extraordinary vide GSR 278(E), dated the 1st April, 2003 and was subsequently amended as follows :
(a) Notification No. 84/2003-Customs, dated the 27th May, 2003 vide GSR 437(E) dated, the 27th May, 2003;
(b) No.29/2004-Customs, dated, the 28th January, 2004 vide GSR 80(E) dated 28th January, 2004;
(c) 63/2004-Customs, dated the 14th May, 2004 vide GSR 314(E) dated, the 14th May, 2004;
(d) No. 46/2005-Customs, dated the 17th May, 2005 vide GSR 320(E) dated, the 17th May, 2005;
(e) No. 77/2005-Customs, dated the 22nd August, 2005 vide GSR 538 (E) dated the 22nd August, 2005; and
(f) No.97/2005-Customs, dated the 17th November, 2005 vide GSR 673(E) dated the 17th November, 2005.
