Students registered w.e.f. 1st July,2017 onwards are required to successfully complete Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) before commencement of the Practical Training.
The students registered for Practical Training (Articleship) on or after 1st May, 2012 uptill 31st December, 2014 but not completed the GMCS-I course, shall be required to undergo (ICITSS) Orientation Course (15 days) w.e.f. 1st July, 2017 in lieu of GMCS-I.

Earlier, the Goods and Services Tax was launched in the country from the midnight of 1st July, 2017. However, because of the special provisions applicable to the State of Jammu and Kashmir extra steps had to be taken before the State could join the GST fold.
Representations have been received from the members of the trade requesting clarification regarding classification of printed workbooks, exercise books, children’s drawing book etc. The issue raised in these representations is whether the aforesaid goods are classifiable under Chapter 48 or Chapter 49 of the erstwhile Central Excise Tariff Act (CETA), 1985. Issue was also litigated before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi.
