In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section 3(2) of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) and also read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government hereby makes, with immediate effect, the following amendment to Notification No.38 (RE-2007)/2004-2009, dated 15.10.2007.
Notification No. 11/2009 – Income Tax These rules may be called the Income-tax (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 2009. (2) They shall come into force with effect from the 1st day of April, 2009.
Import of ‘Toys’ from China appearing under ITC Codes 9501, 9502, 9503 of Schedule – I of ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items is prohibited for six months with immediate effect and until further orders.
For the purposes of this notification, rate of exchange applicable for the purposes of calculation of such anti-dumping duty shall be the rate which is specified in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), issued from time to time, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and the relevant date for the determination of the rate of exchange shall be the date of presentation of the bill of entry under section 46 of the said Customs Act.

Provided that the IDRs issued by an issuing company may be purchased, possessed and transferred by a person other than a person resident in India if such Issuing Company obtains specific approval from Reserve Bank of India in this regard or complies with any policy or guidelines that may be issued by RBI on the subject matter
Notification No.10 /2009- Income Tax The CBDT has amended the Table to the New Appendix-I prescribing the Rates at which depreciation is admissible. Now new commercial vehicle which is acquired on or after the 1st day of January, 2009 but before the 1st day of April, 2009 and is put to use before the 1st day of April, 2009 for the purposes of business or profession , will get 50% depreciation.
Import Policy under Exim Code No. 2803 00 10 shall be amended to read as “Free” (instead of “Restricted”), provided cif value is Rs. 80,000/- PMT and above. However, import of items under this Code, priced below Rs. 80,000/- PMT shall continue to be restricted.
