E-Verification Procedure while filing Income Tax Return
2. E-Verification Using Other Modes
i. Using Net Banking
1. Login to Net Banking A/C
2. Click the “e-Filing” link
3. You will be redirected to e-Filing portal
4. Click on “e-File” Tab and Select “Income Tax Return” from the drop down
5. Select the “Assessment Year”, “ITR Form Name” & “Submission Mode” & click “Continue”
6. Submit your Return/ Upload the XML
7. ITR e-Verification complete
ii. Using Bank Account (For Selected Banks Only)
1. Login to e-Filing Portal
www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
2. Select “Profile Settings” & pre-validate your ban k account
3. Click on “e-File” Tab and Select “Income Tax Return” from the drop down list
4. Select the “Assessment Year”, “ITR Form Name “Submission Mode” and click “Continue”
5. Select Verification mode as “EVC using pre-validate bank account”
6. EVC (Electronic Verification Code) will be sent to th mobile number registered with bank account and valid for 72 Hours from the time of generation of OTP
7. Submit your Return/ Upload the XML
8. Enter the EVC on e-Filing Portal
9. ITR e-Verification complete
iii. Using Demat Account
1. Login to e-Filing Portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
2. Select “Profile Settings” & pre-validate your demat account
3. Click on “e-File” Tab and Select “Income Tax Return” from the drop down list
4. Select the “Assessment Year”, “ITR Form Name”, “Submission Mode” and click “Continue”
5. Select Verification mode as “EVC using pre-validated demat account”
6. EVC will be sent to the mobile number registered with demat account and is valid for 72 Hours from the time of generation of OTP
7. Submit your Return/ Upload the XML
8. Enter the EVC
9. ITR e-Verification complete
iv. Using Bank ATM
1. Swipe your ATM card at your Bank ATM
2. Select “PIN fore-Filing”
3. EVC will be sent to the mobile number registered with bank account and is valid for 72 Hours from the time of generation of OTP
4. Login to e-Filing Portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
5. Click on “e-File” Tab and Select “Income Tax Return” from the drop down
6. Select the “Assessment Year”, “ITR Form Name”, “Submission Mode” and click “Continue”
7. Select Verification mode as “Already generated EVC through Bank ATM”
8. Submit your Return/ Upload the XML
9. Enter the EVC on e-Filing Portal
10. ITR e-Verification complete
