22.11.2012 The Government of Maharashtra has made amendment to Maharashtra Value Added Tax Rule, 2005. Audit Report under Sec. 61 is now required to be submitted “within nine months and fifteen days’ (earlier it was within eight months) of the end of the year. i.e. 15th Jan.

A Notification to this effect is released by the government on 21.11.2012 which is given below :-

12.11. 2012 Commissioner of Sales Tax in Maharashtra has informed to defer the submission of VAT Audit Report in Form 704 under the MVAT Act, 2002 to 15th of January, 2013 from the scheduled due date of 30th November, 2012. A Notification to this effect is expected on coming Monday, the 12th November, 2012.

    Circular is still awaiting from Sales Tax Department, actully no need to extend date to 15th Jan, 2013. 30th Nov, 2012 is right date for submission of MVAT Audit Report ( 704 ).

    information posted on ur site is from relaible sources or from WIRC-ICAI, or from STPAM. as 2day is 20th & Dept of MVAT has not issued any circular
