    This is the way the VAT department functions particularly in the State of UP. They are most corrupted in the Country. If the dealer accepts their wishes and pay bribes, everything will be smooth. Otherwise, all illegal demands will be raised and bank accounts attached. This is the regular practice in UP. They are in no way less than un-armed terrorists.

    Why Only State Officials, Central Officials are not exception to this kind of Activities….Central Excise, Service Tax etc are also part of it. Moreover… those who never visited central offices (Traders etc) now have to face them. Their return filing process etc had made more complicated. That is power of GST
