What Is Tea Board Registration
It is an organization which is regulated by the Ministry of commerce to promote tea production & export the Indian Tea. The “TEA BOARD ACT” also help exporters promotion agency in promoting the tea products & support the tea market.
Purpose of Tea Board Registration
In India, the purpose of Tea Board is to upgrade & improve the quality, productivity, production of Indian tea products & to bring about exporters to various destinations.
Tea Board Membership Categories
- Manufacturer Exporter(who manufactures and imports Tea products by their own for export purposes )
- Merchant Exporter(who trades and imports raw tea materials & gets them manufactured on a job or contract basis and exports the finished tea products)

Process (Offline & Online)
Offline Process:
- Exporter must apply for registration with the Tea Board.
- Following registration, the Tea Board will issue the Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC).
- The applicant is then required to apply for RCMC in the prescribed format (Appendix-19A) and submit it to the nearest regional office, head office, and zonal office of the Tea Board.
Online Process:
- Visit “EGICCS Portal of Tea Board”
- Go to home page & sign up
- Now, you have to provide the details (name, company details, contact details)
- Applicant has to provide a user name & password for registration
- After login, you have to select RCMC button & proceed
- Now fill mandatory details for RCMC (main line of business, IEC code (if applicable) & save
- On the next page, fill the details & save
- Name & address of branch offices
- Name & address of factory
- SSI registration details
- Export license details
- Attach the documents & select the payment option
- After payment, now you can download the form & upload the same
- After uploading the applicant can apply for Tea Board
- After successfully apply, “you can take the print of the receipt”
- At last Tea Board will issue RCMC within 2 working days from the date of receipt.
