A news item appeared in the Media yesterday and today which states that CBI Team has arrested Income Tax department officials and a Chartered Accountant Anil Jaiswal at Kanpur.
In this regard, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) wishes to clarify that as per the ICAI records, the above said person ‘Anil Jaiswal ‘ is not a Chartered Accountant. ICAI has no connection whatsoever with the above mentioned person.

Whom to believe ? There are instances where ICAI members role is clearly felt b’coz w/o their knowledge these things can never be initiated at first but certain powerful financial print media having wide reach deliberately avoid to name.Just b’coz ICAI members have strong presence in each area where word accounts or finance is involved -:).And these breeds has sturdy loyal to their Institution.Either the guy who covers those reports is a qualified CA or working closely with a CA.And never do anything which can berate the much hyped and over rated profession called Chartered Accountancy.Of late MCA is observing such vandalism caused to economy by these guys who is empowered by legislation for statutory audit and other financial attestation and have warned ICAI to act tough agnst. its erring member Hence the prompt response from ICAI
