Follow The Calling, Not The Crowd

If we ever sit and wonder we will understand that Beauty is not about what someone looks like, that is purely Looks. Beauty is about our Heart. When we admire a good looking face, we always say, ‘oh! Look at him, he looks so good’ there are very less instances when we say, ‘ She/he is beautiful’ because, that is only reserved for the special people in our lives, the ones we know, the ones we affiliate with, who we share things with, with the ones we are close to, those are the people we find beautiful.

Sure, Beauty attracts the eyes. But, ‘What is soothing to the eyes may not always be the same for the heart’.

The question isn’t, ‘How Beautiful am i?’ ask me and I’ll tell you, ‘You are undoubtedly, amazingly and absolutely beautiful.’ The real question is, ‘How am i Beautiful? meaning what makes me Beautiful?’ and you’ll find the answer in your own question. ‘you’re beautiful because you are different than the others, there’s at least one quality in you which is unique, you are crazy enough to believe in the impossible, you are courageous enough for going after what you love, you are protective towards the people you love.’ How much more beauty can you deduce out of a person? Believe me; People are lucky to have you. There’s no replacement for someone like you.

The ideal instance for this would be our Family. Do you really care what each person in your family looks like? Do you have any second thoughts about the way they are? No. Why is that? Because you know them, Inside Out, You know the deepest corners of their heart, you know how they will act in a particular situation, what they mean when they say certain things, it is because you’ve got to know them more every day of your life, that is what makes you love them. That is makes them beautiful to you.

John Cage a composer, music theorist, writer, and artist of 20^th century, who was unique enough to leave his college as everyone there read the same books, despite of wanting to learn different things quoted an autobiographical statement, ‘The first question I ask myself when something doesn’t seem to be beautiful is why do I think it’s not beautiful. And very shortly you discover that there is no reason.’

So, How is it that everyone is Beautiful? the only ambiguity which even leads us to this question of thought is, we don’t see ourselves all day along, we don’t see the way we smile when the wind dances through our hairs, the sparkle in our eyes when we talk about something we love, our innocence when we are sleeping, the kindness in our heart when we help the needy, the child in us when we cry. If only we could, everyone would be beautiful to us.

As Leo Tolstoy said, “It is amazing how complete is the delusion that beauty is goodness.”
