DGFT Notifies New SION A-3684 for Metronidazole Gel: The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has issued Public Notice No. 49/2024-25 on March 3, 2025, notifying a new Standard Input Output Norms (SION) A-3684 under the Chemical & Allied Products (Product Code ‘A’) category. This notification, issued under the powers conferred by Paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, specifies input-output norms for Metronidazole Gel USP 1% in different packaging sizes. According to the notification, for the export of a 55 gm pack, 0.561 gm of Metronidazole (Micronized) USP is allowed as input per unit, while for a 60 gm tube, the permitted input quantity is 0.612 gm per unit. The notification standardizes the input-output ratio for exporters dealing in this product, ensuring clarity in trade compliance.

Subject: Fixation of one new Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) at SION A-3684 under ‘Chemical and Allied Product’ (Product Code ‘A).
In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2023 as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies new SION with Serial Number A-3684. This new entry shall be as under:
