Circular No. 558/54/2000-CX I am directed to enclose copy of Notification of Central; Board of Excise & Customs N0. 54/2000-Central Excise (N.T.) dated 22.11.2000 on the above subject. Notification No. 1048(E)-Income Tax In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (i) of clause (18) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government, hereby specifies the gallantry awards for the purposes of the said section, mentioned in column 2 of the table below awarded in the circumstances as mentioned in corresponding column 3

All such packaged products, which are subject to provisions of the Standards of Weights and Measures (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 1977 when produced/ packed/ sold in domestic market, shall be subject to compliance of all the provisions of the said rules, when imported into India.
