The notification No 1/64-Customs dated the 18th January, 1964 was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide GSR 87 dated the 18th January, 1964 and was amended by notification No 61/2000-Customs (NT) dated the 10th October,2000 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) dated the 10th October,2000.
The Deputy Commissioner of Customs or Assistant Commissioner of Customs , as the case may be, may on his own, or at the request of the right holder, retain samples of goods infringing intellectual property rights prior to their destruction or disposal and provide the same to the right holder or importer if such samples are needed as evidence in pending or future litigations.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Central Excise.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Central Excise, Goa and authorises him to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed on Commissioner of Customs, Port Import.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Central Excise, Goa and authorises him to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed on Commissioner of Customs
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Central Excise, Goa and authorises him to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed on Commissioner of Customs, Port Import, Chennai, for the purpose of adjudicating the matters relating to Show Cause Notice pertaining.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Central Excise, Goa and authorises him to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed on Commissioner of Customs, Port Import.

The Principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide Notification No.36/2001 – Customs (N.T.), dated, the 3rd August, 2001 (S.O.748 (E), dated, the 3rd August, 2001) and was last amended vide Notification No. 31/2007-Customs (N.T.), dated, the 16th April,2007 (S.O. 586(E) dated16th April,2007).
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Customs, (Imports), Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House.
