As you are aware, the Government in this year has brought one time amnesty scheme in service tax, namely, Service Tax Voluntary Compliance Encouragement Scheme, (STVCES) 2013, which will enable many assessees to pay tax without interest and penalty.
The Institute is always instrumental in facilitating the Government in policy making and implementation thereof with the help of its various Committees operating in different specialized domains.
I thank you all for actively participating in the Live Webcast on Service Tax VCES, 2013 addressed by Shri P. Chidambaram, Hon’ble Finance Minister on 16th December, 2013. Further, I also take this opportunity to appeal once again to all my professional brethren to proactively complement the efforts taken by the ICAI at the central level by sensitizing the assessees and the various service providers with the benefits of the Scheme.
