Centralised Processing Center (CPC) of the Income Tax Department at Bengluru, Karnatka has added one more feather to its cap by becoming ISO 27001 compliant. The ISO-27001 certificate was awarded to CPC by British Standards Institution (BSI).
The ISO- 27001 is an Information Security Management Standard developed by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) aimed at standardizing Information Security management policies and procedures used for managing Information Security aspects of any organization. The standard ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets and resources, using standard practices and procedures.
The Income tax Department is fully committed to the objective of safeguarding the confidentiality of taxpayer data and safety of information assets at CPC. The tax administration seeks to achieve the objective by making information security management as an overarching framework at CPC. Compliance to such International Standards of Information Security will give the assurance to taxpayers about the security of financial data in Income Tax returns. The ISO 27001 certification will also garner trust of the most important stakeholder in the program, the taxpayer, and further encourage the taxpayer to engage with the Department through the electronic mode.

CPC is not responding on e- grievance….portal…..as well as on calling it stated my mob no. & Pin code wrong….now how can i contact to CPC…. I’m in dilemma.
I think level of CPC Bangaluru still needs more improvements
i enquired for a certain matter and reply was ” contact your jurisdictional office And the matter stands
Resolved ” :There was no mention of address, contact no etc.
Since I am in transferable job , I even donot know which city to contact
so my experience ids very very bad
Yes a feather in inccometax department cap buy their TDS continues to cause tax payer agony due to mistakes committed by deductor. many a time tax payer does not get even a response from deductor and no correction is done by deductor.Departmenbt needs to sort out this sothat tax payer is not the victim of TDS mismatch.
Fix responsibilty on deductor or give tax payer a choice to pay TDS himself.

LET THE CPC STOP RAISING DEMAND IN THE NAME OF THE NON MATCHING OF TDS WITH 26AS.LE THE CPC VERIFY THE 26 AS AND ALSO LET IT KEEP IN MIND THE DECISIONS OF THE NUMBER OF HON’ COURT DIRECTIONS AND DECISIONS.MANY TIMES WE ARE SURPRISED TO SEE THE DEMAND NOTICES ISSUED BY CPC WITH OUT APPLYING THE SHORT TERM AND LONG TERM CAPITAL GAINS PROPERLY. IS THE THE INDIAN COURT ORDERS ARE NOT APPLICABLE TO CPC?

I HOPE AT LEAST HEREAFTER WE DO NOT RECEIVE THE UNNECESSARY DEMAND NOTICES, ADJUSTMENTS AND PROMPT REFUNDS FOR 143(1)(A). EVEN TODAY THE REFUNDS FOR 3 TO 3 YEARS ARE NOT RECEIVED. THE CPC DIRECTS US TO VERIFY THE 26AS FOR TAX CREDITS, IN THE SAME WAY LET THE CPC VERIFY THE 26 AS BEFORE RAISING THE DEMAND NOTICES. OTHER VISE THE ISO IS OF NO USE AND IT IS FOR THE NAME SAKE.
INCOME TAX C P C , BENGLURU is realy entitled for congratulation Most of the assesses are satisfied with the working of the C P C. NOW, the people are getting their refund. MOST of the information can be seen on the sight, earlier to get any information was very difficult. NOW the assesses can file their rectification on line, to review their T D S position, refund and demand status. MOREOVER, IT IS NOW FACILITY TO LOOK THE EARLIER EARLIER YEA RETURNS .
