A member of public can always approach the Minister concerned with a complaint for redressal of grievances. As per this Department’s guidelines, any grievance should be redressed within a period of maximum two months of its receipt.
Complaints cannot be lodged on-line with the office of Minister concerned. They can be submitted manually in person and by post. For on-line lodging of grievances in general by members of public, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances has set up a web-based portal called Centralised Public Grievances Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS), enabling citizens for lodging grievances from any geographical location and also viewing the status of redressal of the grievances. I HAVE LODGED COMPLAINT WITH THE CHAIRMAN , CBEC IN THE YEAR 2001 REGARDING EVASION OF EXCISE DUTY. THE CONCERNED AUTHORITY TEMPERED THE FILE AND CASE CLOSED UNDER SECTION 11A INSTEAD OF SECTION 11D, 11DD. ALSO BUYER (PSU) AND MANUFACTURER (MNC) TAKEN THE DEPRECIATION ON THE EVADED DUTIES UNDER INCOME TAX ACT/SECTION BY THE MANUFACTURER AND SELLER. THE CBEC DID NOT INFORMED TO THE INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT ABOUT THE DEPRECIATION TAKEN, ONLY MENTIONED IN THE FILE NOTING.
THE CBEC CHAIRMAN MARKED THE CASE TO HIS VIGILANCE DEPARTMENT IN THE YEAR 2001. SINCE VIGILANCE DEPARTMENT DID NOT TAKEN ANY ACTION FOR RECOVERY OF THE EVEDED CENTRAL EXCISE DUTIES AND INCOME TAX..
THEREFORE, MY REQUEST IS THAT KINDLY INFORM ME THE NEW INCOME TAX ACT/SECTION APPLICABLE FOR REOPENING THE CASE 16 YEARS. ALSO INFORM IF I PRODUCE THE ALL DOCUMENT WITH YR OFFICE FURTHER TAKE UP THE CASE WITH THE CBEC AND CBDT.
