Sub: – Chennai Customs Zone Export Promotion Division (EPD) — Introduction of online portal for submission of intimations and returns — reg.

Kind attention of EOU, STPI, EHTP, DTA units registered under Chennai Customs Zone and other stakeholders is invited to the Customs Notification No. 68/2017 (N.T.) dated 30.06.2017 that mandates intimation of import to the jurisdictional AC/DC, Customs Circular No. 07/2021 dated 22.02.2021 mandating submission of monthly returns, Customs Circular No. 35/2016 dated 29.07.2016 mandating submission of quarterly returns and the DGFT Public Notice No. 36/2015-2020 dated 04.09.2018 mandating submission of copies of Quarterly Performance Report and Annual Performance Report [QPR/APR] to the jurisdictional AC/DC of Customs. Currently, all these mandatory requirements are being complied with through manual submission by furnishing hard copies at the Customs officer or by email in some cases.

Chennai Customs launches online portal for submission of intimations & returns

2. As a trade facilitation measure, Chennai-IV Commissionerate is introducing the EPD portal as a one-stop solution for online submission of mandatory compliances such as Returns, intimation of import, intimation of goods receipt, B17 bond debit & credit. The portal can be accessed through the web link https://epdchennaicustoms.in/. The portal enables importers to sign up for an account using their email address and mobile number. The detailed procedure for creation of an account and how to use the other features on the portal are attached here as an Annexure.

3. All the stakeholders are advised to use this facility and file all the above mentioned intimations and returns online through the EPD portal. Difficulties faced, if any may be brought to the notice of the Additional Commissioner of Customs (EPD Section) at email thyagarajan.c@gov.in for necessary action.
