Recommended Books for Chartered Accountancy Course – Withdrawal of Permission – (09-05-2014)
The Board of Studies of ICAI has decided to discontinue the practice of recommending Books to its students written by any author and hence has withdrawn its approval regarding recommendation of Books.
Therefore all publishers are hereby advised and put on notice not to use the phrase either ‘Recommended by ICAI’ or any other phrase giving an impression that the same book has been recommended by ICAI or any of its departments/sections on the cover page of the book or elsewhere (inside the book, pamphlet etc.) in the revised edition or re-print of any existing edition with effect from April 1, 2014.
If any publisher is found using ICAI’s name on the books published by them, an appropriate action would be initiated against them.
Exactly, we don’t get any help from study material of the institute.
I dont see any point why Institute should not recommend books to students?
