Subject: Request for suggestions for legislative changes in direct tax laws –reg.
In the past, suggestions for legislative changes were invited from field formation during the budget exercise. In this connection I am directed to intimate you that it has been decided to create an exclusive Email Id (i.e suggestion.tpl@gov.in) for receiving suggestions thought the year for legislative changes relating to direct taxes from officers/officials of the department. The suggestions can be sent to this email ID in the following format:

From taxpayers viewpoint, as those being are at ‘the receiving
end’, in order to be more purposeful, such an invitation needs to have been objectively extended to them as well. Going by experience, most times, feedback suggestions of a material kind, addressed and sent otherwise, for instance through the website of the Department, invariably goes unacknowledged, and further, unattended or never looked into.
