After so much contradictions on Nestle Maggi Noodles, now a laboratory of CFTRI (Central Food Technological Research Institute) has found Maggi noodles are safe to be consumed by the people in India. CFTRI had tested some samples sent by FDA (Food and Drug Administration), Goa when Maggi was banned in June.

CFTRI is a constituent laboratory of CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research), India situated in Mysore, Karnataka covers over an area of 700 acres as its campus. CFTRI is one of the 40 national research laboratories in India, set up under the aegis of the CSIR. It was opened on 21 October 1950 in Mysore, Karnataka.

It is a very large dynamic laboratory headed by Ram Rajasekharan. At present, CFTRI employing over 200 scientists, technologists and engineers and over 400 technicians and workers. There are 16 research and development departments, including laboratories focusing on food biotechnology, microbiology, sensory science and food safety. The Institute has designed many products, processes and equipment types and also holds several patents and released many publications.

Also, CFTRI has established a School called “The CFTRI School” in the year 1964 with a purpose to provide education to the children of employees of the Institute only. The school was started in a small way and now generously opened for general public also to follow the theme “Sarvashikshana Abhiyana” i.e. “Education for All”. The School is located in the scenic beauty of CFTRI campus which is about 3 km away from the heart of the heritage city of Mysore, free from the noise and din.

“CFTRI findings shows that samples are in compliance with the food safety standards as per the Food Safety and Standard Rules, 2011,” Goa FDA director Salim A Veljee said. The report expressed by the CFTRI has clearly shown that Maggi Noodles are safe with regards to the standards of food safety. So, it can be said that Maggi will be seeing in the markets again soon.

Meanwhile, Nestle India’s new chief Suresh Narayana had said that bringing the instant noodles brand back to the market is his top priority as he sought to strike a conciliatory note with authorities.

Generations have grown up loving its signature taste of Masala.

    Big multinationalbrands practice all iso standards food safety standards then why maggi landed in a deep trouble because they think they are big giants there mistakes would go unnoticed at cost of public lives it is an eye opener & a lesson for other fmcg companies to see that they meet the food safety standards
