Subject: Roll out of facility to provide access of ‘Closed Assessment Proceedings’ to AOSTAFF user for Revenue Audit in Income Tax Business Application (ITBA)- reg.
Sir/Madam,
This is in reference to the subject mentioned above. It is informed that for the purpose of carrying out Revenue Audit of the cases completed in e-proceeding mode, the facility to access ‘Closed Assessment Proceedings’ is now made available for AO Staff user in Income Tax Business Application w.e.f. 14/01/2020.
1. A new screen Cases for Revenue Audit has been developed where AO Staff will enter PAN and AY to view the details of the case(s) and details of the Internal Audit Objection(s) raised by internal audit units, if any.
2. A button named View Assessment Proceedings is provided on Cases for Revenue Audit screen, clicking on which the closed Assessment Proceedings (that is the work item) screen in read-only mode (similar to Assessment Work item being opened from Assessment module Status Monitor screen) can be accessed.
3. User will be able to download the attachments (i.e Assessee submissions, if any) from Case History/Notings screen in Assessment workitem.
4. A button View/Download Notices/Letters/Orders is also provided on Cases for Revenue Audit screen to View/Download the Letters/Notice/Orders for the corresponding PAN and AY as available in ITBA system.
Navigation steps for viewing closed Assessment proceedings are as below:-
ITBA Portal → Audit module-4 Menu → Cases for Revenue Audit
→ View Assessment Proceedings.
To view/download the orders related to PAN and AY, navigation steps are as below:- Path: ITBA Portal → Login → Audit module → Menu → Cases for Revenue Audit → View/Download Notice/Letter /Orders.
5. The various modules of the ITBA can be accessed by entering the following URL in the browser: https://itbaincometax.govin.
6. Users are advised to contact helpdesk in case of any issues in respect of theITBA.
