It is noticed that Customs Brokers, Steamer Agents, Exporters are approaching the Officers for amendment of Vessel Name/Rotation No. on the Shipping Bills. This is not required since the Vessel Name/Rotation No. gets automatically picked up from the Export General Manifests and amendments take place.
Issue of import authorisation by Regional Authorities of DGFT would commence from 9th January 2015 and end on 15th January 2015. In case, any applicant/firm is found to have submitted false or erroneous information or have made any mis-declaration / misrepresentation, such applicant/firm, (a) shall forfeit the allocation made in this Trade Notice, (b) shall be debarred from allocation of Rough Marble and Travertine Blocks in future and (c) shall be liable for penal action under the provisions of Foreign Trade (D&R) Act, 1992, as amended.
Manufacturers of export products covered under SIONs A-1 170, A-3627 , K-134 and SION A-1443 (instead of SION A-1143 mentioned in PN 30 dated 4.10.13), and the concerned Export Promotion Councils/Associations are requested to submit production and consumption data for further review of these SIONs as soon as possible but not later than Wednesday, the 27th of August, 2014. Failure to provide the data, so required by the specified date would result in stoppage of the benefit of Advance Authorization / DFIA for export products covered by these SIONs and the SIONs would be modified based on available data.
An online complaint resolution system relating to EDI issues has been established where users can file online complaint. User can go to ‘icon’ “EDI complaint resolution” and feed following data in the system to get the issues addressed. A key number for each complaint will be generated which can be followed up by the users and DGFT officials for early resolution of issues.
An exercise has been done to align the product description and ITC HS codes of items mentioned in Appendix 37-A and 37-D of HBP v1. This has been notified through Public Notice No. 52 on 25.02.2014. The intention behind this exercise was to align / harmonize description with the ITC HS codes and hence there has been no addition / deletion in entitlement.
Views/suggestions/comments on the request contained in para 2 above are solicited. While submitting such feed-back, care may be taken also to suggest how to count fulfillment of Export Obligation because the resultant product of such capital good, i.e. ‘power’ is mostly not exportable per-se. It has now been decided that Personal Hearing (PH) in such cases by the Director General of Foreign Trade will be held at Udyog Bhawan, New Dehli-11 on second Tuesday of every month between 3:00PM to 4:00PM. In case, in any month, 2nd Tuesday is not a working day then such PH may be held on next Tuesday.
Through the above cited Trade Notice it was informed that the online applications for obtaining Registration Certificates (RCs) for export of various commodities like cotton, cotton yarn, non-basmati rice, wheat and sugar would be mandatory from Monday the 1st July, 2013.
