As you aware that after filing of Income Tax Return, the assesse has to complete the verification process within 120 days from the date of filing Income tax Return. There are total 2 ways to verify it i.e either electronically or manually.

The verification through electronic way can be done as follow:

The verification through manual way can be done by submitting the signed copy of ITR V acknowledgement to CPC Bengaluru through regular, speed or registered post.

Now if the assesse failed to verify the return within 120 days from date of filing of return, then in such case he can provide the reason for delay in submission of ITR-V or e-Verification. In addition, you will be given an option to e-verify the return after 120 days by giving reasons for delay.

Friends, I has the same issue and when I called efile customer service and informed about the situation, I was told that I can only file Condonation Delay ITR for previous years if I get a notice from Income Tax department. So please look into your efile profile, get your Accessing office assigned to the local income tax office, and then either contact them via phone/in-person to give a notice for you, so you can file previous years ITR. Hope this helps!
