The Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue report for October 2024 shows a total gross collection of ₹1,87,346 crore, an 8.9% increase from October 2023. Domestic revenue contributed significantly, with collections totaling ₹1,42,251 crore, marking a 10.6% year-over-year growth. Import-related GST revenue also rose by 3.9%, reaching ₹45,096 crore. Net domestic revenue after refunds stood at ₹1,31,753 crore, reflecting an 8.7% increase, while net customs revenue grew by 5.4% to ₹36,288 crore. Collectively, the net GST revenue for October 2024 reached ₹1,68,041 crore, 7.9% higher than in October 2023. Year-to-date (YTD) figures show a cumulative gross GST revenue of ₹12,74,442 crore, representing a 9.4% growth. State-wise, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka showed strong revenue gains, while a few smaller states reported slight declines. This report highlights steady growth in India’s GST collections across domestic and import segments, supporting fiscal health and revenue generation.
