The concept of ‘additional place of business’ is very important in number of ways. Usually, the registered place of business is an office where billing happens. Additional place of businesses are usually warehouses. The movement of goods take place from additional place of business and hence have to be registered for e-way purposes.
In this article, we shall discuss adding an additional place of business to your GST registration.
To add an additional place, you have to login and go to the registrations tab and select amendment of registration core fields:
2. After selecting, go to the additional places of business:
Note one thing – If no additional place has been added earlier, you will have to first go to the principle place of business and select yes for additional places of business. Refer to images below:

Then go again to tab of additional places of business and enter the number of additional places:
If all docs are okay, then the jurisdictional GST officer shall approve the same.
