Empanelment form for examiners – Revised and ICAI President Message

Dear Professional Brethren,

At the outset, I would like to convey my heartfelt regards to all for the support and cooperation extended. I sincerely hope that I would be able to take the legacy of the profession a step forward bestowed upon me by my esteemed predecessors.

Education brings forth the treasure of life’s inherent dignity. Education and learning form the foundation of a capable professional. Without education, the training of the human minds is incomplete. Since its inception, the ICAI has consistently been endeavoring to provide best possible quality education to its students by constantly working for their all-round development.

As more and more students decide to embrace the profession, it behooves ICAI to provide a strong foundation to all its students by way of a robust examination system to face the challenges arising out of the emerging business and economic order. In view of the dynamics of the business environment, the Chartered Accountancy course has also undergone great metamorphosis and various new concepts have been introduced in its syllabus. Efforts and resources are also being directed to improvise the needs of our more than 7.8 lac students.

As the President, I feel indebted towards my mother Institute for not only providing me a sound qualification but also my career and identification in this world.  I emphatically believe that we as Chartered Accountants should endeavor to give back to our alma mater in every possible manner.

With this thought in my mind, I would like to request all the members like you who have proved their metal time and again both at national and international fronts to come forward and share the wealth of your expertise & experience by way of empanelling your self with the Institute as an ‘/examiner/valuer/paper setter’. I would also request you all to come forward and serve as a resource person for various technical fields & others such as management, information technology, etc and help in laying the foundation of the torchbearers of tomorrow.

I would like to inform you all that Schedule VI will be applicable from the year commencing April 1, 2011. Further, I am glad to inform you that till date 31, 093 no. of queries/complaints/grievances have been posted in the “e-Sahaayataa” portal out of which 30,820 no. of queries/complaints/grievances have been resolved & catered to.
