The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 118(E), dated the 1st March, 2002 and was last amended by notification No.53/2007-Customs, dated the 3rd April, 2007 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R.270(E), dated the 3rd April, 2007.
In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Appendix-I of Handbook of Procedure.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Central Excise (Adjudication), New Custom House, Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, to act as a common adjudicating authority to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed on.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Customs.
