As a part of taxpayer facilitation, we have automated most of our refund/ drawback processes and amounts due to the taxpayers, especially of IGST that get automatically processed and credited without human intervention.
Computer Assisted Scrutiny Selection (CASS) 2020 Cycle for ITRs of A.Y. 2019-20 for the current year has been finalized. The Board has approved the parameters for selection of cases and cases are visible to the Assessing Officers.
Vide the said notification, the import policy for goods falling under HS Code 0713 with item description as Tur/Pigeon Peas (Cajanus Cajan); Moong [Beans of the SPP Vigna Radiata (L.) Wilczek] and Urad [Beans of the SPP Vigna Mungo (L.) Hepper] is revised from Restricted to Free with immediate effect and for the period upto 31st October 2021.

In view of the surging COVID-19 pandemic, a further relaxation for import of relief goods has been made by issue of ad hoc exemption Order No. 04/2021-Customs dated 03.05.2021. This grants exemption from IGST on goods for COVID-19 relief imported free of cost for free distribution till 30th June, 2021.
