PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 33 (RE-2006) /2004-2009

NEW DELHI DATED THE 17th July, 2006

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I):

2. In Chapter 4, the existing expression “confirmed irrevocable letter of credit”, wherever appearing, stands substituted by the expression “irrevocable letter of credit in case of status holders/confirmed irrevocable letter of credit in case of others”.

3. In Chapter 4, the existing expression “confirmed irrevocable inland letter of credit”, wherever appearing, stands substituted by the expression “irrevocable inland letter of credit in case of status holders/confirmed irrevocable inland letter of credit in case of others”.

4. In Appendix 22 A relating to Bank Certificate of Export and Realisation, the existing expression “confirmed irrevocable letter of credit”, wherever appearing, stands substituted by the expression “irrevocable letter of credit in case of status holders/ confirmed irrevocable letter of credit in case of others”.

5. The Appendix 22 B relating to Bank Certificate of Payments for domestic supplies stands substituted as under:-

After the entry at Sl.No.5 of the sub-section VC related to DEPB Scheme in the Aayaat Niryaat Form, a new Sl.No.5 A Stands added. This Entry needs to be filled up by the applicant claiming DEPB on packing material in the miscellaneous product group of the Schedule of DEPB Rates. The following stands added as Sub-Para 5A :-
