Sub: Status of Cost Recovery charges to be deposited by Custodians in Customs facilities- reg.

Since 2014, DGHRD has communicated the sanction of posts created on Cost Recovery Basis for customs facilities at ICDs/CFSs/Seaports/Air Cargo Complexes/Courier Terminals etc. (list attached as Annexure-`A’).

2. Besides other conditions, the deposit of Cost Recovery (CR) charges three months in advance is a mandatory condition. However IFU has observed that there is frequent default by the custodians in deposit of the said charges. The Ministry has also taken an adverse note wherein continuation of sanctioned posts is not sought on yearly basis and proposals are received much after expiry of validity of posts from the customs formations.

3. DGHRD is updating the database related to Cost Recovery (CR) charges paid/payable in all the customs facilities. Kindly provide the information pertaining to customs facilities falling under your charge as follows:
