S.O. (E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), notification No. 63/1994- Customs (N.T.), dated the 21st November, 1994, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) vide number S.O. 830 (E), dated the 21’November, 1994, namely: –
In the said notification, –
(i) in the opening paragraph, after the twelfth proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: –
“Provided also that New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is appointed as Land Customs Station for the purpose of clearance of baggage.”;
(ii) in the TABLE, against serial number 2 relating to Bangladesh, in column (3) after item (62) and the corresponding entry relating thereto in column (4), the following entries in columns (3) and (4) shall respectively be inserted, namely: –

The rail route through Haldibari-Chilhati rail link connecting Jalpaiguri in India to Dhaka in Bangladesh”. |
