MCA notifies Sections of Companies (Amendment) Act, 2019

MCA notifies certain Sections of the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2019

The Companies (Amendment) Act, 2019 contains:

1. All provisions introduced by The Companies (Amendment) Ordinance, 2018. (Dated 02.11.2018)

2. All provisions introduced by The Companies (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019. (Dated: 12.01.2019)

3. All provisions introduced by The Companies (Amendment) Second Ordinance, 2019. (Dated 21.02.2019

Companies (Amendment) Act, 2019 and its provisions has been notified in the official gazette dated July 31, 2019 and 14th August 2019 as below-.

Please note that Section 21 of the Act regarding amendment relates to Section 135 of Companies Act, 2013 (Corporate Social Responsibility) is yet to be notified by the MCA.

Commencement Notification dated 14.08.2019 is as follows:–

New Delhi, the 14th August, 2019

S.O. 2947(E).– In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2019 (22 of 2019), the Central Government hereby appoints the 15th day of August, 2019 as the date on which the provisions of sections 6, 7 and 8, clauses (i), (iii) and clause (iv) of section 14, section 20, section 31, sections 33, 34 and 35 and sections 37 and 38 of the said Act shall come into force.
