SEBI has issued a notification extending the deadline for investors to file their claims in the default matter of Karvy Stock Broking Limited, which was declared a defaulter by NSE on November 23, 2020. Under NSE’s bye-laws and regulations, investors were originally required to submit their claims by June 02, 2025. After SEBI’s press release dated May 16, 2025 encouraged investors to come forward, the deadline was extended to December 31, 2025. Due to a substantial number of claims being filed following these awareness efforts, SEBI has now granted a further extension until March 31, 2026, giving investors additional time to submit pending claims. Investors who have not yet lodged their claims are strongly advised to do so before the final deadline. For assistance or clarifications, investors can contact NSE’s toll-free helpline or write to the designated default department email provided in the notification.
