The Scheme would be applicable to all loans sanctioned under GECL during the period from the date of issue of these guidelines by NCGTC to 30.11.2020, or till an amount of Rs 3,00,000 crore is sanctioned under the GECL, whichever is earlier.

Central Government has approved Scheme for grant of ex-gratia payment of difference between compound interest and simple interest for six months to borrowers in specified loan accounts (1.3.2020 to 31.8.2020). Benefits under the scheme would be routed through lending institutions.

Faceless Appeal Scheme has been implemented in ITBA and the allocation of cases to Faceless Appeal units is under progress. A number of requests have been received from the field formation for opening of the Appeal module in ITBA to enable the CIT (Appeals ) to upload the physical records and submissions made by the appellant in the system so that the faceless Appeal units don’t have to request the same again from the tax payers.
