Mankind Pharma, one of India’s leading pharmaceutical companies, has announced robust financial results for the second quarter (Q2) and half-year (H1) of the fiscal year 2027, ending 30th September 2026. The company reported a 17% year-on-year increase in revenues, reaching INR 4,338 crore for Q2 FY27. The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) saw a significant rise of 27% year-on-year, amounting to INR 1,175 crore, while the profit after tax (PAT) surged by 38%, totalling INR 716 crore.

The domestic business, which forms a substantial part of Mankind Pharma’s operations, delivered a robust 16% growth, contributing INR 3,428 crore to the company’s revenue in Q2. This growth was driven by a 1.2 times volume outperformance compared to the Indian Pharmaceutical Market (IPM), particularly in the chronic and acute segments. The chronic segment experienced notable growth in the cardiac and anti-diabetes categories, while the acute segment saw significant gains in the gastro and vitamin, mineral, and nutrient (VMN) categories.

Mankind Pharma’s international business also showed impressive performance, with a 33% increase in revenue. However, the over-the-counter (OTC) segment experienced muted growth during the quarter. The company’s strategic acquisition of Armed Cell Therapeutics marks its entry into next-generation CAR-T therapies, enhancing its research and development capabilities for future growth.

Analysts have noted that Mankind Pharma’s disciplined execution and strong business fundamentals have contributed to its solid performance. The company’s continued focus on expanding its presence in chronic therapeutic areas and its strategic investments in research and development are expected to support its growth trajectory. The pharmaceutical sector remains a key area of interest for investors, with Mankind Pharma’s consistent performance highlighting its potential for sustained growth in the competitive market.
