    i)Student’s appeared in both group and passed such %
    ii) student’s appeared in first group and passed such %

  2. KK says:

    Hi,

    In recent past this profession started deteriorating. Now a days coaching institutes are giving assurance of “100% pass guarantee otherwise fee refund” so we can understand level of CA profession.

    I know many students who completed MPC used to join Engineering but now joining in CA assuming that this is the easiest profession and can make lot of money.

    Anyway having thought process to generate talented professionals is good decision.

    Best Regards

  3. Kirandeep Kaur says:

    I m totally upset wid the result… CA inst. should have a continous watch on their results and on the market demand for the CAS… From last few years,, all get cleared like passing B.com… But suddenly once they get to realize about the value of CA profession… This one time result will not balance the market demand and supply for CA’S…

    CPT results should be made highly strict so that gud quality person pnly enters dis profession and those who ve entered,,, they can complete to build their career… What can be do with those who ve cleared their one one group nd still waiting to complete their another group… At last stage,, they cant even leave this profession..

  4. Aditya Soni says:

    Totally agree with CA C Maheshwar Reddy, the level of CPT must be increased so that the students can understand the level of CA course at the very first stage.

  5. murthy says:

    Congrats ICAI Institute having opened eyes at last keeping the examination tough otherwise CA also becoming like a Post graduation course whereas it is a professional course and only talented brains are needed to serve in the niece fields of Accountancy and Auditing profession.

  6. Dev Kumar Kothari says:

    What has happened? Think some possible reasons:

    Suddenly quality of examinees has eroded and /or

    Examination papers were tough (if so evaluation is generally a bit lenient which makes a balancing of performance vis a vis result) and /or

    CA made easy coaching centers have failed in delivering results to their students.
    And / or

    I think, if we consider last 8-10 years, the last reason may be more contributory than any other reasons. Due to CA made easy coaching centers, students have considered CA as easiest course during last decade, the trend was alarming.

    CA was considered as a selflearnign and experiencing course untill about 2000. Thereafter mushrooming coaching centeres and fashion to have coaching in all subjects have made CA students lazy and easy going- study selectively and pass wih good marks has been trend.

    The institute must take steps to ensure proper training in different professional fields as well as to improve examination system to reduce influence of coaching institutes on studies of professional courses.

  7. CA C Maheshwar Reddy says:

    I think the Institute need to filter at CPT level or IPCC. The reason is that, the student can opt for other courses if he has not cleared at CPT level or IPCC. After completing the IPCC and articles, some students are not able to clear CA Final and they are dropping at this level. Further, as the pass percentage is more in CPT, lot of students are entering in the course but they are not clearing the final and the students minds are upsetting. Hence, the institute may think of it.

  9. CA Tushar says:

    Dear All,
    this thought just came to me on seeing the pass %
    lets say 1,000 students enter the ca profession;
    appx. CPT pass percentage is 40%, so 400 students clear the foundation;
    lets assume Inter pass percentage is 20%, so of 400 only 80 reach final;
    of the 80 students this term only 3% have cleared = 2.4 CAs
    this means that from entry to exit the clearing percentage is 2.4/1000= 0.24%

  10. j.subha says:

    hi sir,
    wat u feel is perfectly correct, dis is 3rd attempt for me i hav cleared 2nd group in last attempt, i got 178 in 1st group but dis time oly 149? i expected 75 in law nd 60 in aud but oly 44in law nd 32in aud so totally upset i spent solidly 13hrs a day for 2 mnths

  11. ca kishor kothuriti says:

    Hi,

    Congrats to all who has cleared exams ,However % of pass is very low may be opportunities are very less in market but such low pass rate may effect the student mindset hence institute should think on that
