The Council at its 321st Meeting held in January, 2013 has relaxed the eligibility criteria, in order to mitigate the hardships being faced by the students registering under Direct Entry Scheme to Chartered Accountancy Course on or after 1st October, 2012, as under, so as to be eligible to appear in the Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination to be held in November, 2013.
As notified in the ‘Implementation Schedule’ on the Institute website, students who are pursuing Professional Competence Course (PCC) are hereby informed that the Professional Competence Examination (PCE) will be discontinued on culmination of November, 2012 examination.
It all started about 2-3 months ago, when I suddenly starting receiving e-mails in my inbox from unknown people who were enthusiastic to share borrowed knowledge with me – borrowed because was forwarded presentations created by people other than the ones from whom I received the e-mails. As per internal Sources Reserve Bank of India has decided to stick to 6 crores limit for March 2013 Statutory Branch Bank Audits. As per the reliable source, in spite of clearance for 20 crores limit, RBI is going ahead with last year agreed limit of 6 crores. RBI shall finalize its Empanelment by the end of last week of January 2013/ First week of February 2013.

A US court has dismissed civil claims filed against former independent directors of Satyam Computer in a lawsuit over a one billion dollar accounting fraud. Hearing the petition, the US District Court Judge Barbara Jones of New York said there were insufficient allegations against the former independent directors and members of Satyam Computer’s audit committee.
