A member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India in practice shall not respond to any tender issued by an organization or user of professional services in areas of services such as audit and attestation services which are exclusively reserved for Cost Accountants by a statute.
(1) This Act may be called the Chartered Accountants, the Cost and Works Accountants and the Company Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 2022. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and any reference in any provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision.

It was clarified that holding a valid Peer Review certificate by Practice Units (referred to as ‘firms’ in the Announcement dated 12.02.2022) should be a pre requisite for undertaking audit of all entities falling under phase I; II; III and IV of the mandate from respective dates of mandate becoming operative.
It has been brought to the notice of the Ministry that the various instances have been observed where it has been found that practicing members of ICSI are not carrying out due diligence and verification of document while incorporating a company or a LLP.
