CLARIFICATION REGARDING OBTAINING THE MANDATORY CPE CREDITS
Dear Professional Colleague,
This is in continuation to the communication dated March 26, 2022 regarding extension of last date for obtaining the mandatory CPE Credits for the year 2021-22 by three months i.e. till June 30, 2022.
The Institute is in receipt of queries from the members seeking clarification whether the CPE Credits secured during the extended period (April 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022) will be considered for the year 2021-22 or the year 2022-23.
In this regard, it is clarified that CPE credits secured by a member during extension period (April 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022) shall be considered for the year 2021-22 only if there is a shortfall in mandatory requirement of securing 20 CPE Credits in a year through structured and unstructured learning programme. However, once the requirement of 20 CPE Credits is completed by the member for the year 2021-22, further CPE Credits secured by the member will be considered for year 2022-23.
Further, no break-up of CPE Credits is allowed e.g. if a member has obtained 4 CPE Credits in any programme but he/she require only 2 CPE Credits to complete mandatory requirement of 20 CPE Credits for year 2021-22, then extra 2 CPE Credits will not be carried forward to next year 2022-23 and all 4 CPE credits will be considered for year 2021-22 only.
The members who have secured mandatory 20 CPE Credits for year 2021-22 on or before March 31, 2022, the CPE Credits secured by those members on or after April 1, 2022 shall be considered for the year 2022-23.
