The following LLPs in Table A (List of 81 Nos. LLPs) have not been carrying on any business or operation for a period of two immediately preceding financial years.

Limited Liability Partnership (Second Amendment) Rules 2016- -ln exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (l) and (2) of section 79 of the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (6 of 2009), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Limited Liability Partnership Rules, 2009 namely:-
It has been decided to extend the period for which the one time waiver of additional fees is applicable to all eforms which are due for filing by companies between 25.03.2016 to 30.06.2016 as well as extend the last date for filing such documents and availing the benefit of waiver to 10.07.2016
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 79 of the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (6 of 2009), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Limited Liability Partnership Rules, 2009 namely:-
General Circular No. 2/2016 Reference is invited to General Circular No. 13/2013 wherein, in paragraph 2, it has been clarified that ‘as per section 5 of LLP Act, 2008 only an individual or body corporate may be a partner in a Limited Liability Partnership. A HUF cannot be treated as a body corporate for the purposes of LLP Act, 2008. Therefore, a HUF or its Karta cannot become partner or designated partner in LLP’.
For the purposes of the proviso to sub-section (1) of section 58 of the Act, where the firm has been converted into limited liability partnership, an intimation of such conversion to the concerned Registrar of Firms shall be given in Form 14 within fifteen days of the date of registration of the Limited Liability Partnership
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 67 of the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (6 of 2009), the Central Government hereby directs that the provisions of section 458 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), [except proviso to subsection (1)] shall apply to a limited liability partnership from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
Clarifications have been sought on whether a trust or a trustee representing a trust in the case of “Real Estate Investment Trust” (REIT) or “Infrastructure Investment Trust” (InvITs) or such other trusts set up under the regulations prescribed under the Securities & Exchange Board of India Act, 1992, can become a partner in an LLP.
It has now been decided that Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) formed and registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 shall be eligible to accept Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) subject to the conditions given in Annex I.
