We are always worried about the fact that whether our TDS deductor/collector has filed quarterly TDS/TCS statement and provided our PAN while filing the TDS/TCS return. NSDL has recently launched a facility to enable deductee to know whether or not his TDS deductor/collector has filed quarterly TDS/TCS statement and provided his PAN while filing the TDS/TCS return.
CBDT’s instruction No.10/2017 dated 15.11.2017 has clearly laid down that only when receipts are completely omitted to be declared in the return of income can there be an addition for invoking 143(1)(a)(vi) of the Act.
Whom do I contact for queries related to payment of refund which has been processed by ITD? My refund details are showing wrong in Form 26AS. How can I correct it? The consolidated annual tax statement in Form 26AS is now available to PAN holders. The endeavour is to streamline and synchronise the tax paid/deposited under each PAN and identify and resolve discrepancies, if any, at an early stage. Discrepancies could arise due to reasons like incorrectly quoted PAN/non-filing of TDS returns/non-deposit/lower deposit of taxes by the deductor, and can be identified and resolved at an early stage.Income tax department has put in place a facility to enable taxpayers to view their tax credits online or through the internet.
