All Mutual Funds, Asset Management Companies (AMCs) and Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI)

Madam/ Sir,

 Sub: Portfolio format for debt oriented close-ended and interval schemes/plans

1.In order to enhance the transparency of portfolio of debt oriented close-ended and interval schemes/plans, it has been decided that AMCs shall disclose the portfolio of such schemes in the enclosed format on a monthly basis on their respective websites.

2.The said disclosure of the portfolio as on the last day of the month shall be made on or before 3rd working day of succeeding month. For example, portfolio as of March 31, 2009 shall be disclosed by April 04, 2009 – April 3, 2009 being a non working day.

3.This circular is issued in exercise of powers conferred under Section 11 (1) of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992, read with the provisions of Regulation 77 of the SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996, to protect the interests of investors in securities and to promote the development of, and to regulate the securities market.
