After upload of the ITR, if any change occurs in taxpayers Bank Account, Address, Mobile number and e-mail id, then taxpayer can update these changes through ‘Change ITR Form Particulars’. Any update can be made only prior to processing of the return.
Steps to change the particulars in the submitted ITR Form:
Step 1 | Logon to the ‘e-Filing’ Portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in |
Step 2 | Go to the ‘My Account’ menu located at upper-left side of the page and click on ‘Service Request’. Then select the ‘Request Type’ as ‘New Request’ and Select the ‘Request Category’ as ‘Change ITR Form Particulars’ and click ‘Submit’ |
Step 3 | Enter ‘Acknowledgement number’ of ITR and provide the necessary details and click on ‘Submit’ |
Steps to view the status of submitted form
Step 1 | Logon to the ‘e-Filing’ Portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in |
Step 2 | Go to the ‘My Account’ menu located at upper-left side of the page and click on ‘Service Request’ then select the ‘Request Type’ as ‘View Request’ and Select the ‘Request Category’ as ‘Change ITR Form Particulars’ |
Step 3 | Click ‘Submit’ |
Step 4 | Click the ‘Transaction ID’ |

My income tax refund not credited to my account because account was closed. I updated the bank particulars in my return for the assessment yr. 2020-21. But is not being created since 9.12.2020. what I should do now. I want your guidance pl.
I have changed Assesee’s Address by through above mentioned facility. Will these change also reflect in ITR V Acknowledgment Or only for Internal records.
