NOTIFICATION No. 14 (RE-2004)/2004-09

NEW DELHI: Dated: 4th January, 2005

S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09.

2. The following shall be amended to read as follows:

Exim Code Item description Policy Policy conditions
9706 00 00 Antiques of an age exceeding hundred years Restricted 1. Allowed for import under saving clause 3(1) of Foreign Trade (Exemption from Application of Rules in Certain Cases)Order, 1993, read with Customs Notification 157 dated 28.03.90.

2. Import of antiquarian books is free.

This issues in public interest.
