Please find enclosed herewith a copy of letter No.66546/Manual/639/EB dated 03.02.2017 received from Dte of Contract Management, Military Engineer Services, lEngineer-in-Chief’s Branch, Integrated HQ of MOD (Army), Kashmir House, Rajaji Marg, New Delhi – 110 011 addressed to All CE Commands, ADG (OF & DRDO), All CCEs, All CE Zones,. All CWEs and All GE(1)s/GEs / AGE (I)s and copy endorsed to EPFO, Head Office on the subject cited above.
It is intimated that MES issued instructions to their field functionaries for strict compliance. The address of CEs Command & ADG (OF & DRDO) is enclosed in the letter in Appendix ‘A’ who shall provide details of 5, A, B, C, D and E class contractors engaged by MES. ACC (Zones) are advised to contact any of such concerned Chief Engineer, Commands as given in Appendix ‘A’ in the first instance who will provide the data and issue directions to their subordinate field functionaries.
It is requested to take steps to collect details of contractors as above and to cover all eligible workers engaged by any Principal employer including MES and ensure Social Security benefits to these employees as envisaged under the EPF & MP Act, 1952.
