The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, through Notification S.O. 708(E) dated 10 February 2026, has amended its earlier notification dated 18 December 2018 issued under Section 458 of the Companies Act, 2013. The amendment substitutes the list of Regional Directors by expanding and revising their locations. The earlier reference to Regional Directors at Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Shillong has been replaced with Regional Directors at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and New Delhi. The amendment will come into force from 16 February 2026 and applies prospectively.

New Delhi, the 10th February, 2026
S.O. 708(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 458 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs number S.O. 6225 (E) dated 18th December, 2018, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 20th December, 2018, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such amendment, namely:-
In the said notification, for the words “Regional Directors at Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Shillong”, the words “Regional Directors at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and New Delhi” shall be substituted.
2. This notification shall come into force with effect from 16th day of February, 2026.
