The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), through Notification S.O. 699(E) dated 10 February 2026, has amended its earlier notification issued under Section 458 of the Companies Act, 2013. The amendment revises the list of Regional Directors authorized to exercise delegated powers under the Act. The previous notification listed Regional Directors at Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Noida, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Shillong. This has now been substituted with Regional Directors at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and New Delhi. The amendment clarifies that actions taken or omitted before this change will remain unaffected. The revised notification will come into force from 16 February 2026. This update reflects administrative restructuring aimed at strengthening regional regulatory oversight and improving implementation of delegated powers under the Companies Act framework.

New Delhi, the 10th February, 2026
S.O. 699(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 458 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs number S.O. 891 (E), dated 31st March, 2015 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 31st March, 2015, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such amendment, namely:-
In the said notification, for the words “Regional Directors at Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Noida, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Shillong”, the words “Regional Directors at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and New Delhi” shall be substituted.
2. This notification shall come into force with effect from the 16th day of February, 2026.
