Subject: Request for extension of last date for annual filing under the Companies Act, 2013- Reg

Sir,

This is with reference to the provisions of Companies Act, 2013 which require filing of financial statements (Form AOC-4 and AOC-4 XBRL) and Annual Return (Form MGT-7) by every company with the Registrar within thirty days and sixty days respectively of the date of annual general meeting.

In this regard, we wish to submit that the ICSI has received various communications from companies/professionals requesting for extension of last date for filing of annual forms due to the following reasons:

i. Festive holidays (such as Diwali, Bhai Duj etc.) in the last week of October, 2019 which also happens to be last date of filings.

ii. The last date of filing of Income Tax Returns along with Audit Reports for corporates and tax audit for other assesses has been extended by CBDT upto 31st October, 2019, thereby various filings culminating on the same date.

Considering the above facts, you are requested to kindly consider granting extension of time for filing of financial statements and annual return for the financial year ended 31st March, 2019 up to 31st December, 2019 without levying any additional tee.

We shall be pleased to provide any further information or clarification in this regard on hearing from your goodself.

Thanking You,

Yours faithfully,

(CS Ashok Kumar Dixit)

Yes, it is very much required to extend the time for filing of financial statements and annual return of Companies for the financial year ended 31st March, 2019 up to 31st December, 2019 without levying any additional tee as the festive holidays (such as Diwali, Bhai Duj etc.) in the last week of October, 2019 which also happens to be last date of filings.

    Request to extend the date.
