APL Apollo Tubes reports record sales volume in Q2FY27

APL Apollo Tubes Limited, the world’s largest branded structural steel tube company, has reported its highest-ever quarterly sales volume for the second quarter of the financial year 2027. The company achieved a sales volume of 963,143 tonnes in Q2FY27, marking a 13% increase year-on-year from the 855,037 tonnes recorded in Q2FY26. This new record surpasses the previous high of 924,881 tonnes achieved in the fourth quarter of FY26.

For the first half of FY27, APL Apollo reported a total sales volume of 1,707,966 tonnes, reflecting a 4% year-on-year growth compared to 1,649,387 tonnes in H1FY26. This performance underscores the company’s steady growth trajectory and robust demand across its product segments.

Breaking down the sales figures, the APL Apollo brand accounted for the majority of the volume with 774,751 tonnes in Q2FY27, a significant rise from 653,680 tonnes in Q2FY26. The SG Premium brand saw a decrease in quarterly sales volume to 26,910 tonnes from 38,356 tonnes the previous year. Meanwhile, the UAE operations contributed 26,227 tonnes, down from 57,931 tonnes in Q2FY26. Roofing products showed a notable increase, with sales reaching 135,255 tonnes compared to 105,071 tonnes in the same quarter last year.

APL Apollo, headquartered in Delhi NCR, operates 11 manufacturing facilities across India and the UAE, with a total capacity of 5 million tonnes. The company offers over 5,000 varieties of structural steel applications, serving diverse sectors such as urban infrastructure, real estate, and engineering applications. Its extensive distribution network spans over 800 distributors across more than 300 towns and cities in India.

Analysts view APL Apollo’s performance as a reflection of the growing demand for structural steel products in infrastructure and construction sectors. The company’s strategic expansion and diversified product offerings continue to position it favourably in the market, with expectations of sustained growth in the coming quarters.
