Summary: The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has issued Notification No. 40/2026-27 dated 30 September 2026 extending the Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition applicable to Sulfadiazine API covered under Chapter 29 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule-I (Import Policy). The extension has been made by the Central Government in exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 and Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023. The MIP condition was originally imposed through Notification No. 41/2025-26 dated 10 October 2025. Under the present notification, that condition is extended up to 30 November 2026 on the same terms and conditions. Accordingly, the Minimum Import Price of ₹1,774 per kg on Cost, Insurance and Freight (CIF) value for import of Sulfadiazine API will continue to apply until the extended date. The notification expressly states that the MIP condition imposed on Sulfadiazine API under Chapter 29 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule-I (Import Policy), has been extended for the period up to 30 November 2026. Subject: Extension of Minimum Import Price (MIP) Condition on Sulfadiazine API covered under Chapter 29 of ITC HS, 2022, Schedule -I (Import Policy)-regarding.
S.O. (E): In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 and Section 5 of Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby extends the Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition imposed vide Notification No. 41/2025-26 dated 10.10.2025 on Sulfadiazine API covered under Chapter 29 of ITC HS, 2022, Schedule -I (Import Policy), for a period up to 30.11.2026 with all other terms and conditions of the above said notification remaining the same.
Effect of the Notification: Minimum Import Price (MIP) @ Rs.1774 per Kg on Cost, Insurance, and Freight (CIF) value, imposed on import of Sulfadiazine API covered under Chapter 29 of ITC HS 2022, Schedule-I (Import Policy) has been extended for the period up to 30.11.2026.
